When a child joins BDS Nursery the parents join too.
During home visits, there is an opportunity for parents to hear about the approach to learning covered in Nursery and what to expect during the following year.
Parents' Evenings take place during the Academic Year. The purpose of such events is to provide the opportunity for parents to meet with the Nursery staff on an individual basis to discuss their child's progress.
We are always available should parents wish to discuss any matters with us and you do not have to wait for an official Parents' Evening.
During the course of the year parents will receive a number of letters from Nursery, all of which are intended to keep them as informed as possible about past and future events in Nursery. They are an important route of communication and provide a vital ink between school and home.
The Nursery Notice Board in the entrance to the Foundation Stage also displays information, such as the lunch menus, key worker groups and Parent - Teacher events.
'Home Learning Challenge' Books
Your child will come home with an orange 'Home Learning Challenge' book. Inside will be activities you can complete at home related to what your child has learnt in school that week or will be learning in the following week. This is a perfect place to pop any messages from home, news from your time at home and messages for staff.
