Useful Information

Homework is given on a Monday and collected in on Thursday.

Please ensure PE kits are in school every day.

Other Faith Week

Year 6 have been learning about different faiths this week including Islam and Hinduism. For some of the children in the class, they were able to share their faith with their friends and help them in their understanding of it. We found it really interesting and we are looking forward to learning about other faiths in the coming term.

World Book Week

The children have had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Week. As part of the celebrations, the children learnt a pirate song which we sang in our celebration assembly.

Disability Awareness Day

As part of Disability Awareness Day the children were given the opportunity to meet John McCorkell. John, who has cerebral palsy, runs a company called ‘It’s all normal’ which aims to promote inclusion. The children were given the opportunity to ask John about his daily life and get some experience of what it is like to have a disability. The children all commented on the incredible endurance John shows in his day to day life and were greatly inspired by this commitment.

Guinea Pig Week

Year 6 had an exciting first week back because of three new visitors who joined our school. We have loved getting to know the guinea pigs and we are looking forward to taking care of them in the coming months. As part of guinea pig week, we have been writing newspaper reports about our new arrivals.
