On Friday 11th March we celebrated the beginning of British Science Week 2016 with a whole school Science Day. Children had great fun taking part in lots of exciting hands on investigations including making lava lamps, balloon rockets and magnet mazes.
If you would like to try some of these exciting activities at home please find the details in our handy guide found in our News section under 'Events Flyers and Posters'.
Year 6 will be ending Science Week with a special Friday activity. They will be visiting the ‘Tiger to a Bloodhound’ exhibition in Birkdale High School. They will learn about the BLOODHOUND car project and its land and speed record attempt – 90 years after Sir Henry Segrave's famous record on Southport Beach.
