During this past week, the school community has been remembering those who sacrificed their lives during the World Wars as part of the Centenary of the end of World War I.
The school council visited the British Legion's Byng House, on the Promenade, where they met the mayor of Sefton and spent time talking with ex soldiers.
Year 6 children led the school in a collective worship on Thursday when they reminded us all of the sacrifice made by so many soldiers.
On Friday the school council spent the morning at Hesketh Park Lodge sharing information about the Great Wars with local residents.
Meanwhile, other council members represented our school at the service of Remembrance at St Cuthbert's Parish Church, Churchtown with children from other local schools.
