Some of our year 6 children graduated from Children's University last Monday. The children had a fantastic afternoon and even got to wear a cap and gown. Those who took part received a certificate for the dedication they have shown to after-school activities throughout their Key Stage 2 life. Congratulations to all the graduates.
The Year 6 children had an amazing time in London for their residential. The children got the chance to experience so many new and exciting things and it’s a trip that they will never forget. We visited the Natural History Museum and Science Museum as well as the Tower of London. We travelled down the River Thames on a river boat cruise and rode the London Eye. We also got to watch the marvellous musical Matilda. Below is a selection of photographs of all the wonderful things we got to do whilst there.
The children in year 6 had a great day dressing up as characters from their favourite books. A big well done to all the children who took part!
Each week a group of children in year 6 create and present a collective worship for the class. Please look at our powerpoint to see what we did.
Using the book, The Arrival, the children have created descriptive stories which tell of their journey through a new and mysterious town. The children created videos to accompany their work.
The children in year 6 had a fantastic time during Roald Dahl day. They created poems and did some character drawings based around his stories. Picture to follow of our fabulous display.
