We had a surprise visit this week- a magician. We absolutely loved having him visit our class and watching all his magic and tricks.
Lots of the children brought in their homework project this week to present to the rest of the class. You all did a fantastic job and should be proud of your hard work. Well done!
In DT, we created Christmas shortbread biscuits. We had lots of fun designing our biscuits, making them, tasting them and then evaluating the final results.
We have been thinking about compassion this term and how the innkeeper showed compassion to Mary and Joseph over 2000 years ago. It was nice to be able to reflect at this busy time and appreciate how it is important to always show compassion to others.
In Science this week we have been looking at how to affect the pitch of a sound using bands and rulers. We found that when we created fewer vibrations it made the pitch lower and the higher the frequency of the vibrations, the higher the pitch.
We had a fantastic day outside the classroom today learning all about our environment. We researched the nature around us, made bird feeders and Gods Eyes and we toasted some marshmallows round the campfire.
In PE this week we have been taking part in team building exercises and learning how to work together and communicate better. We really enjoyed trying to get across the ‘swamp’ as a team and not fall in.
We have been thinking about friendship this term and what it means to be a good friend. It was nice to be able to reflect, think about our friendships and what they mean to us.
Year 6 have been inspired by the art work of Andy Goldsworthy and have created some fantastic pieces using a range of mediums. We hope you like them!
We have been working hard on our writing in English and have created some non-chronological reports on polar bears. We are really proud of our work
